Group support is not for everyone. Sometimes you need a listening ear just for you. Call to schedule free supportive sessions for you and/or your family.
Look Good, Feel Better
(Co-sponsored with the American Cancer Society) Learn how to minimize appearance-related side effects of cancer treatments in a comfortable, small-group setting. A cosmetologist will teach you techniques for using make-up, wigs and scarves. Youll do your own makeover, using complimentary products you can take home with you. This program is offered every other month.
Facing Cancer Together
This program is for newly diagnosed patients who are currently in therapy.
Surviving Cancer Together
This program is for patients who have completed treatments.
Clearing the Fog
After going through chemotherapy, some people experience changes in cognitive functions that can make daily life difficult. A speech-language pathologist, teaches new tools to help regain control in life. This class is offered monthly.
Nutritional Guidance
This program, presented by a dietician, is offered twice a month. This program addresses issues related to nutrition and cancer, including what types of foods are helpful in recovery from surgery and treatments, how to maintain weight during and after treatments and lifestyle changes for overall health.
Energy Healing Therapies
Registration and appointment are required.
Comfort Massage and Reflexology
This therapeutic massage program is provided by specially-trained massage therapists. It is designed to help you relax and relieve some of the emotional strain associated with the diagnosis and treatments of cancer and can be helpful in recovery.
Touch Healing
(Co-sponsored with the Kansas City Healing Project) Touch Healing is a non-invasive, gentle therapy appropriate for patients at any point in their cancer journey. It is useful before and after surgery, during treatments and through recovery to reduce stress and anxiety.

Moving Into Wellness
(Co-sponsored with Cancer Action and LifeCentrics) This gentle movement and support program is designed to nurture your body, mind, emotions and spirit. It is for women in all stages of cancer recovery and with all energy levels. The on-going weekly sessions include guided relaxation and facilitated group support.
Pink Ts: Focusing On Strength and Health
(Co-sponsored with Cancer Action & Life in Focus) A fitness trainer specializing in breast cancer rehabilitation will teach women exercise techniques that can be incorporated into a regular independent routine.
Caregiver Education Programs
Topics of interest to caregivers are presented to the community. Please call for topics, dates and times.
Genetic Counseling

Lymphedema Care
Our lymphedema therapists, certified in manual lymph drainage techniques and complete decongestive therapy, will provide a comprehensive approach to treatment. This includes exercise instruction, lymph manual drainage, bandaging, appropriate garment selection and patient education. To schedule an appointment, please call (913) 498-6990.
